Gerald Steven Hansen

March 25,1947 - April 9, 1968

Gerald S. Hansen was born on March 25,1947 in Tacoma Washington. He lived in Payallup Washington for fourteen years before living in Arizona, Buckley, Pierce and Enumclaw WA. A graduate of White River High School in Buckley WA, he was active in football,track, wrestling, and baseball.

He was drafted in august 1967 and his tour in Vietnam started February 7, 1968. He was assigned to the 526th CC&S Co Feb 12 1968. Gerald was promoted to the rank of Pfc on March 5, 1968.

Gerald was killed in action on April 9, 1968 when his company was attacked by enemy sappers. He was in-country 62 days. He was 21 and was survived by his wife Joan.

Gerald was laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Park, Enumclaw WA.
