It's a go for the 5th Maintenance Bn. 17th reunion in Buffalo / Niagara Falls. The date of the reunion is Sunday August 21st till Aug. 25th..We are booked at Buffalo Airport Hotel. The rate for the rooms are $119.00 plus tax (13.75%). The hotel is holding a block of 20 rooms and more can be added as needed. If you want to get to Buffalo a day or two early, or stay an extra day or two the rate the your room is still the same. Now have the dates mark them on your calendar. The dead line to book your rooms is July 21, 2022. A big pat on the back to Lance Becker for picking the hotel. The hardest part of setting up a reunion is picking the hotel. Again thank you Lance. The Buffalo Airport Hotel has a free shuttle to and from the airport. It has free parking, a bar, and restaurant, and the hotel gave us a complimentary hospitality room during the reunion Beer and Liquor can be brought into the hospitality room but not the banquet room. We will have our banquet on Wednesday night. Please remember to bring something for the raffle. It can be anything some thing from your state, military related, liquor, gift cards all proceeds go to next years reunion. Sorry ladies the Hotel does not have a pool. Our first day Sunday will be our meet and greet. We will talk about what we are going to do. We are shooting for Tuesday to go the falls. Monday and Wednesday are free days. You can take the Erie Canal tours which takes you through 5 locks, check the city of Buffalo, it’s naval park boasts 3 WW II -era naval vessels, tour Canal side, and of course look for places to eat Buffalo Wings. If you are a hockey nut the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame, also Old Fort Niagara are in Canada. Niagara Falls also has plenty to see and do.. Please get on your computers ,and check out the Buffalo Airport Hotel, the City of Buffalo, and other attractions you might be looking for. Like always there is a registration fee of $65.00 per person that covers the buffet, your pin, and other things. By saying that you can use a passport, or have what is needed on your drivers license to cross the border. Also you might have to take a COVID test to get into Canada.
